November 1989 saw the fall of the Berlin Wall. Seven months later the mayors of East and West Berlin came together to celebrate a unified city and open the largest ever rock show staged in Europe.
A live audience of 250,000 and a TV audience of 500 million in 52 countries watched Roger Waters' seminal Rock Opera staged at the site of the Berlin Wall.
